Usage & Testing
Getting the Comforter Lapdesk setup is pretty simple. Just set it where you want to use it and you are good to go. I let one of my friends use it for a couple of days and now she does not want to give it back. She primarily uses it when she is in bed, especially the cloth side with the laptop on an angle.
I did notice in my testing if you have a large heavy laptop and use the soft side it tends to slide around if you have it on an angle.
Using the plastic side of the Comforter Lapdesk you can see that it puts our laptop up on an angle that makes typing and reading things on the screen easier. Also the groove in the back is great for cable management and storage.
Choiix does say this is a laptop cooler as well so I decided to test it. I used my Dell XPS M1210 laptop. I used Prime95 to put full load on the CPU and had the fans in the laptop turned all the way up so there would be no variable fan speed during the test. We tested both the hard and soft side of the Lapdesk.
As you can see the Lapdesk does have some cooling properties, but does not cool as well as laptop coolers with fans.
