Cherry Sneaks New Silent Retro Keyboard into Lineup

Our favorite key switch manufacturer has gone and done it again, like an auto manufacturer reintroducing a classic design, Cherry has taken a classic design and updated it with a modern touch. The MX Board Silent is Cherry new, not new, take on their super popular G80-3000 a board from 25 years that just drips with design reminiscent of that golden era of computing. They have quite literally lifted their original external designs and inserted underneath an engine of cutting edge silent mechanical key switches.

The fantastic new MX Silent switches have a unique rubber bumper system that prevents the entirety of the switch bottoming out and creating that clackity mechanical sound we all love but our neighbors working around us can’t stand. The net result is that you get the full travel and feel of a Black, Red, or Speed switch but don’t reproduce the noise found in an industrial factory.
