Chaintech has brought back their partnership with Colorful and has launched a new motherboard, the iGame Z97 socket LGA1150 motherboard. This board is sort of a cross between a gaming motherboard and overclocking motherboard. The board combines strong and quality electrical components with features gamers would expect like good audio and the Killer E2200 NIC.
The thing that really stands out on this motherboard is the full-coverage water block which cools the CPU VRM and Z97 PCH. The board features a 16-phase VRM and power comes to the board by a combination of 24pin ATX and 8pin EPS connectors. For expansion you have three PCI-Express 3.0 x16 slots and four PCI-Express 2.0 x1 slots. Storage on the board is six SATA 6GB/s ports and an mSATA slot. Display outputs include DVI, VGA, HDMI and 8-channel audio. The board also features an OPAMP circuit with electrolytic capacitors, Killer E2200 NIC and a dual-BIOS. Chaintech plans to launch the board in Europe and APAC markets.
