CES 2010: Thermaltake

Storage
With USB 3.0 becoming more and more popular Thermaltake is changing many of their storage devices to USB 3.0. One of the most popular would have to be the BlacX Duet. They had a demo running where they copied files from 2 identical drives but one was connected via USB 3.0 and the other ones 2.0. You could definitely see the difference. Great to see that Thermaltake is adopting this so quickly.

Swappable hard drive bays are something we don’t see Thermaltake produce, but they actually had an entire table of them. They are calling them “hard drive canisters” and they are going under the Max5 name. No word yet when these will be out or how much they will cost. They should be available in both SATA and SAS versions though.

A Gaming Keyboard?
Well this caught my eye when I walked in Thermaltake’s suite. It was a gaming keyboard. This keyboard is kicking off Thermaltake’s Gaming brand called Tt esports. You should see this new brand have a gaming keyboard, gaming mouse, and gaming headset all very soon. They keyboard that we were shown was actually very cool, it has a detachable cooling fan that can help keep your palms cold when gaming. Also other features include 6 macro keys, built in memory, and an additional USB port. Thermaltake also hopes to keep this keyboard $10-20 cheaper than other gaming keyboards out there.

LUXA2
Thermaltake’s LUXA2 brand has a few new things. First they have added colors to their H1 Mobile Holder. They also have a holder made specifically for the iPhone, not just any mobile device. Have a Kindle? LUXA2 now offers a Kindle holder as well!
