Biostar has released the latest micro-ATX motherboard which is based upon the Intel H81 chipset which has been tagged as the Hi-Fi H81MDC. The board helps the Intel 4th Gen Core i7 and Core i5 processors and extends support towards them. Along with this, it also offers the Intel single chip architecture with HD 4600 Graphics, on top of another memory controller which has been integrated and will run at rates which can go up to 1600MHz. The H81 chipset that we are talking about has two ports of SATA 6GB/s (and also four ports of SATA 3GB/s) along with two USB 3.0 headers. The chipset Hi-Fi H81MDC provides full support for the two DIMMs for a max of 16 Gigs of RAM. This teamed up with other features makes the Hi-Fi H81MDC an extraordinary option for the small form factor systems where you usually don’t have more than one discrete card and two SATA drives. As it is based on the Intel boards, the Intel Rapid Start Technology will be highlighted quite a lot and also the Intel Smart Connect Technology.
It must be kept in mind that this Hi-Fi H81MDC is perfect for a low cost board which can be full featured. Talking of the display outputs, there is HDMI with HDCP which allows full video & audio support with help from the standard DVI output, Blu-ray audio DRM and a higher output of 24 bit/ 192KHz instead of the 16 bit/ 48KHz which is normally featured on the typical motherboards.
