Bethesda Announces Quake Champions

Quake is back! Bethesda at their E3 Press conference announced Quake Champions. Quake Champions is designed to be an area-style shooter “designed for players of all skill levels.” Like other recent shooters (Overwatch for one), Quake Champions is being pitched as an e-sports game with tournament support from the publisher. You can check out the reveal trailer below, sadly there is no in-game footage.

Quake Champions will feature “a diverse cast of warriors each with different attributes and unique abilities, allowing you to fight the way you want,” according to iD Studio Director Tim Willits. Bethesda is targeting 120 FPS rendering for the game, so pro players won’t have to worry about speed.

We really do not know much else about Quake Champions, other than it will definitely be coming to PC. More info is promised at QuakeCon in August.
