“Be quiet!” is a premium brand maker of power supplies and cooling solution for your desktop PCs. As the name indicates, the company has a ten years experience in the field of noise-reduction and silence which makes its products the most silent on the market.
Be Quiet has just revealed its most modern type of tower CPU cooler based on the cubical fin-stack design masterly engineered, called the Shadow Rock 2 (model-BK013). Excluding the fan it measures 147 x 122 x 160 mm (LxWXH) while weighing only 1.12 KGs. The heat sink design comprises of a nickel-plated copper base, which is a home for four 8mm thick copper heat pipes which conduct heat from a large aluminum stack consisting of 51 aluminum fins. The pipes spread out along two sides of the stack while we see that the fins are somewhat squarish in shape with sharp edges that are curved inside from the sides.
The package includes a 120mm fan which spins at a speed of up to 1600RPM, thrusting up to 51CFM of air. This CPU cooler is compatible with the most contemporary socket types and can smoothly withstand thermal pressure/load as high as 180W. Shadow Rock 2 supports the following socket types: LGA1150/LGA1155/LGA1156, LGA2011, LGA1366, LGA775, AM3+, AM3/AM2+/AM2, and FM2/FM1.
