Autonomous SmartDesk 2 Review

Using the Autonomous SmartDesk 2
Below you can see my current setup with the Autonomous SmartDesk 2. I have my 34-inch display sitting on a monitor stand with speakers on each side. In front of that I have a large mouse mat with my keyboard and mouse. On the left you can see my headset. There is more than enough room on the 53″ x 30″ size desktop for a large monitor like mine, or a dual-display setup. Now I decided to not put my desktop on the desk, but it would have fit no problem. I think the bamboo desktop with the black frame looks great!

To keep the desk clean there are cable routing holes in each of the top corners of the desk. This makes it each to route all of your PC and component cables out of the way.

The bamboo desktop is just beautiful. I think that if you are going to customize your desk this is one of the best options to go with.

The controller on the front of the desk is very easy to use. There are simple up and down controls as well as 4 available presets. There is also a display showing what height you are at. With the Business Edition the desk has a starting height of 24″ and goes all the way up to 51″. Each of the 4 presets are easily configured by setting your height then pressing the “M” button then the number you want it set as.

So for my height settings I have a standing setting at 46″, a sitting on a stool setting at 40.1″, and finally a sitting setting at 27.9″. I find that when I start my day I am standing and by the end of the day I am sitting either on the stool or in the chair. That’s whats great about having an adjustable desk, you are not just locked into standing or sitting, you can have both.
