Audiofly AF56m In-Ear Headphones Overview
Just like the AF78’s the AF56M’s have a distinctly larger earpiece than most in-ear headphones that I’ve used. The earpieces on the AF56m’s do however have a more round shape to them.
Audiofly provides an exploded view of the AF56m earpiece on their website so you can really see the technology that goes into the headphones. We have copied it below. Each earpiece has a custom-voiced 13mm dynamic driver that is housed inside a machined anodised alloy bezel with precision laser cut venting. The 13mm dynamic driver produces a powerful bass response, blended with effortless detail in the middle and high end.
The ends that connect to the earpieces are designed with a rubber fitting on the end to eliminate cable strain, which typically causes cables to rip or fray. Audiofly makes use of their tough audioflex braided cable which is made with Cordura fabric for outstanding durability. We received the Vintage White version of the headphones that have a cream and white color to them with brown ear tips, the headphones are also available in Blue Tweed and Edison Black.
Since this is the “m” version of the headphones you have an clear-talk microphone half-way down from the left earpiece. Where the headphones come together you will also find a button that allows you to pick up calls, control music, and use voice prompts. This control is compatible with Apple and Android devices.
At the end of the cable you of course have your 3.5mm audio connector. The connector is gold-plated and is a bit longer than most headphone connectors we’ve seen so it is more compatible with device cases.
Here is a shot of the entire headphone setup, the cable is 1.2 meters long or just about 3.9-feet, which means you shouldn’t have any issues having your device in your pocket and the headphones in your ears.
