ASUS Teases SupremeFX Audio on Maximus VI Formula

ASUS has always been a leader in innovation when it comes to their motherboards and the SupremeFX audio chips and “Redline” are a perfect example of that. ASUS was the first to put a dedicated audio chip on a motherboard that gave you gaming-class audio quality, while keeping the audio components isolated from the rest of the motherboard. Now they are teasing us with the upcoming SupremeFX audio that will be coming on the Maximus VI Formula Z87 motherboard.

ASUS SupremeFX Teased

In 2011 we saw the SupremeFX III audio chip on the Maximus IV Formula board. It brought with it EMI shielding, Redline PCB isolation, dedicated audio layer and a 1500uF buffer cap. Moving on to 2012 there was the SupremeFX IV which added the TPA6120 headphone amp and ELNA premium audio caps.

Now it is 2013 and we are ready for even more enhancements to SupremeFX. What could they be? All we know is that we will find out on ASUS’s upcoming Z87 Maximus VI Formula, which has not been previewed at all. So we know very little about it. We do know that the SupremeFX chips on the Z87 Maximus VI Hero and Z87 Maximus VI GeneZ will have new features like Sonic Radar and Perfect Voice, but the chip on the Z87 Maximus VI Formula will add to those features.
