ASUS Radeon R9 285 Strix Graphics Card Pictured

The first detailed photos of ASUS’s upcoming Radeon R9 285 Strix Graphics Card have been revealed. The card will feature a dual-fan cooling solution that will keep the fans off until the GPU reaches a temperature threshold.

The cooler on the card is essentially ASUS’s DirectCU II, which features a dense aluminum heatsink with large copper heatpipes. This card will feature a factory overclock, which is not known just yet. The card also will have a back-plate, which is pretty interesting.

The R9 285 is based on AMD’s Tonga PRO silicon which features 1792 stream processors, 112 TMUs, 32 ROPs, and a 256-bit wide memory interface. Expect to see this card drop on September 2nd when the R9 285 does.
