Starting with the power deliver the Z87 Extreme 11/TB20 features a 12 phase VRM design with ASRock A-Style features and components. There are dual 8pin CPU power connectors that will allow for increased overclocking ability. As you can see in the photo above the board has active cooling on both the power components and the PCH. These large heatsinks are connected via a large heatpipe.

The board has massive storage capacity of 22 SATA 6GB/s ports and three SATA 3GB/s ports. This is the largest storage capacity offered by a Z87 motherboard. If that is not enough for you there are three mSATA ports! This really is a storage monster! The board has a PLX chip to offer more PCI-Express lanes for the four PCI-Express 3.0 x16 slots. The board also has three PCI-Express 3.0 x1 slots. For sound you have ASRock’s A-Style Purity Sound chip.
