AOC Announces AG241 Series WQHD Monitors

AOC has just unveiled their line of AG241 24-inch monitors which feature high refresh rates and WQHD (2560 x 1440) resolutions. The new displays fall under AOC’s AGON brand, which is targeted at PC Gamers. The series includes two models, the AG241QG and the AG241QX. Both displays make use of a 23.8-inch TN-film LCD panels by AU Optronics.

The main differences between the two displays is that the refresh rates are different and one features NVIDIA G-SYNC technology and the other features AMD FreeSync technology. The AG241QG offers up to 165 Hz refresh-rates and supports NVIDIA G-SYNC whereas the AG241QX offers refresh-rates of up to 144 Hz, and supports AMD FreeSync.

Both displays feature a 1 ms response time (GTG), 1000:1 static contrast ratios, viewing angles of up to 170°/160° (H/V), a rheostat-based WLED illumination (flicker-free), active blue-light reduction, and matte anti-glare screen surfaces. The display also has a retractable headset hook, 4 port USB 3.0 hub, and VESA wall mount. The displays also have gamer-specific display presets based on the gameplay type. Display inputs include DisplayPort 1.2/1.2a and HDMI. These displays are available starting in November.
