AMD Radeon RX Vega Nano Announced

Besides the main Vega launch AMD also announced a brand new Radeon RX Vega graphics card, the Radeon RX Vega Nano. At their event Raja Koduri, Senior Vice-president of AMD’s Radeon Technology Group, came up on stage and handed over one of the very few working samples of this new card to Tim Sweeney, founder of Epic Games and Unreal Engine.

The Radeon RX Vega Nano is of course an update to the R9 Nano which was released in 2015 and was based off the “Fiji” microarchitecture and was the then king of efficiency and small form factor support. The Radeonm RX Vega Nano has the sample (yet smaller) silver aluminum shroud with a single large axial fan. It is a dual-slot card with a single row of output connectors which include 3x DisplayPort and 1x HDMI. The card is estimated to be about 5~6-inches in length. It has will have a TDP of 150W and draws power from a single 8-pin PCI-Express power connector. Check out the pictures below…
