AMD Radeon R9 290X Overclocked Performance Unveiled

With release of the R9 290X coming up very soon we have more leaked benchmarks. This time we have the overclocked performance, which has been unveiled by the Chiphell forums. The user was able to overclock the card up to 1130 MHz and tested it in various benchmarks.

AMD Radeon R9 290X

The Chiphell forum user was using a reference card from XFX. The user tested the card with a GPU overclock of 1130 MHz and memory frequencies up to 1550 MHz. The R9 290X has a stock memory clock of 1250 MHz for all of those who were wondering.

One thing that I do want to mention is that the fan speed in these tests was set at 100%. I couldn’t imagine that being very pleasant to listen to.

Check out the various tests below, remember you can click on the images to see them in full size.
