AMD Radeon R9 290 ‘Hawaii Pro’ Performance Leaked

AMD had just announced their Radeon R9 290X yesterday and today it looks like the upcoming Radeon R9 290 stock and overclocked performance has been leaked by Overclockers.co.uk. AMD is set to release the R9 290 in just under a week on October 31st.

AMD Radeon R9 290

The Radeon R9 290 is the little brother to the R9 290X. It features a cut down version of the Hawaii GPU that offers 2560 stream processors, which means you only have 40 CU’s enabled on the chip. The card will operate at a max frequency of 947 MHz. The card will have 4 GB of GDDR5 VRAN that runs across a 512-bit interface.

The results that you see below show the R9 290 blurred out most likely because it is still under NDA. It is pretty impressive that the R9 290 will have Titan-like performance for a price of only $449.
