AMD has confirmed that their high-end desktop HEDT version of Ryzen known as ThreadRipper will be coming in summer 2017. These chips will offer up to 16 cores and 32 threads of performance!
AMD says they are “targeting the world’s fastest ultra-premium desktop systems in an all-new HEDT platform”.
Could ThreadRipper really shake up the HEDT market just like Ryzen has done for the mainstream market? I guess we will have to see! Expect ThreadRipper to be detailed at Computex 2017!
