For those looking to escape the real world and go into virtual reality that has not been possible if you own an Oculus Right virtual reality headset. Every Oculus Rift headset was taken offline by an interesting mistake made by the company.
This mistake was a lapsed security certificate, which has caused the downtime. It looks like this certificate was not renewed as it should have been. This has kept the headsets from connecting to the runtime service, effectively keeping them offline.
One easy fix to this would be to set your PCs date back one day, which would cause the certificate to still think it is active. However this can cause conflicts with other certificates and programs on your system.
