AeroCool Touch 2000 LCD Fan Controller Review

Installation & Usage

Installing the Touch 2000 is really easy, just open up two drive bays, slide it in and fasten it to your case. The only hard part is actually installing the cables and trying to manage them inside of your case.

The temperature sensors will fit pretty much anywhere; they’re narrow and bend easily.

Once you make all of the necessary connections and power on your computer the LCD screen lights up and are now much easier to view. In the center of the screen going from top to bottom lies the AeroCool logo, lock button, C/F changer, and +/- buttons.

The lock button is locked by default and a simply press of it will allow you to change the features on the screen. When the screen is unlocked the circle surrounding the lock and red lines going to the temps and fans will not be illuminated.

On the screen the temperatures are found on the top while the fan speeds are on the bottom of the screen. On either side there are two temperature and fans. Under the temperature it will show you either in C or F and what the current temperature is or what the alarm temperature is.

To adjust the fan speed of any fan, just simply unlock screen, select the fan so that it starts to blink and adjust it accordingly using the +/- buttons. Obviously you can’t change the current temperature that screen is reading, but you can change the alarm temperature. To do this you need to unlock the screen and hold the temperature for which alarm you would like to change for about 3 seconds and it should start to blink. Using the +/- button you can change the temperatures. One thing that I did notice about the alarm settings was that when the temperature reached the alarm temperature there was no audible alarm, just a visual where the temperature would flash.

Here’s a video showing the panel in action.
