Overview
The ABS FX-7 USB 7.1 Gaming Headset is an ergonomical circumaural headset complete with flexible boom microphone and 7.1 surround sound. The lightweight headset has both an adjustable headband and rotating, foldable, earcups.
The boom microphone, located on the left earcup, rotates about 150 degrees and is completely flexible.
The rotating earcups only rotate about 90 degrees so that they can be laid down on a flat surface for storage. The soft leather cushions aren’t necessarily the biggest I’ve seen, but they should be able to fit comfortable over most ears. The 40mm speaker driver outputs deep base and smooth sound. They also provide a decent amount of noise cancellation.
The headband is composed of solid material, so it is very unlikely it will snap. There is a small bit of cushion on the underside of the band, but I think a little more could have been added for some extra comfort.
The 8ft USB cable has the Dolby Surround Sound driver box about 2ft down from the headset. On this controller are the volume and microphone mute buttons as well as the volume up/down buttons and a bright blue LED power light. Two dim red lights sit next to the two mute buttons to let you know when they are muted.
