Intel Drops Prices Of Core Processors Over Impending Ryzen Launch

AMD's Ryzen processors are priced very competitively, the top-dog Ryzen 7 1800X will retail for $499, with performance somewhere around Intel's Core i7-6900K, which was selling for $1199! Well now it looks like Intel is reacting, but dropping prices on their Core range of processors across the board.

AMD Radeon Vega Power Connector Pictured

When we were shown Vega at CES back in January, AMD was very careful to not really show the card at all. Well it looks like AMD was showing Vega in all its glory at the Ryzen announcement event. This system is running an AMD Ryzen 7-1800X and an AMD Radeon Vega 10 graphics card. This reveals to us the look of the reference card and the power connectors.

AMD To Detail Vega at Capsaicin 2017 Event

AMD sent out a press release today that stated at 2017 "Capsaicin Live" event, which takes place on the sidelines of the Game Developers Conference, they will reveal "exciting new details surrounding Vega". This is of course the next-generation GPU architecture that AMD plans to base their next high-end graphics card on.
