Zotac Z68-ITX WiFi Supreme Motherboard Review

Z68-ITX WiFi Supreme Overview
Taking a look at the Z68-ITX WiFi Supreme it is quite a tiny board!  The actual dimensions are 6.7-inches x 6.7-inches.  It is crazy that Zotac is able to fit everything on this small board.  Since the board is so small you are not going to see a lot of styling on it, but Zotac has gone with a black PCB, which is nice.

Taking a look at the CPU socket there is actually a good amount of room for you to mount an aftermarket CPU cooler on there if you wish.  Another cool thing that I noticed was the POScaps and low profile chokes.  Great to see these on a mini-ITX board.  On the top left of the board there is a 4pin CPU connector.  Zotac does provide a 4pin to 6pin adapter.  Moving over to the right there are 2 SO-DIMM slots that support dual channel memory up to 16GB.

Moving down the right side of the board there is a 4pin fan connector, 24pin power connector, 4 SATA ports (2 red are SATA 6GB/s, 2 blue are SATA 3GB/s), and USB header.  Moving over you can see the large heatsink and cooling fan on the GeForce GT 430 graphics.  Below that is a single PCI-Express 4x slot.  Finally there is an upright WiFi card that supports 802.11n functionality.

There are quite a few different connections on the board.  From left to right you have ethernet, 2 USB 3.0 ports, 2 WiFi antennas, reset CMOS switch, 2 USB 2.0 ports, eSATA port, DisplayPort, HDMI, 2 DVI ports, and audio connections including optical.

We did install an Intel Core i5-2500K, 4GB of DDR3 and a nice large heatsink on this board.  See below for the install photos.

Also when you turn the board over you can see the mSATA connection.
