XSPC Memory WaterBlock & Side Plate Set Review

Conclusion
Truly I was very excited to give the XSPC Memory WaterBlock + Side Plate Set a run through. As a long time watercooler, I have looked at memory kits for each and every build I’ve done. Unfortunately for me I have never had any ram that was compatible. The other thing holding me back is the general internet knowledge that memory cooling is not very worthwhile under water. If you get into sub zero cooling, yes there are benefits, but that is another game altogether. Fortunately XSPC has come out with a kit that will work with all memory of all sizes. And certainly it is a very well thought out kit, with a good design. Overall I would even say the build quality is pretty good, aside from some “B” grade machining. The price is even reasonable at $79.95 from my favorite online retailer.

But at the end of the day is this waterblock anything more than another fancy piece of copper with water running through it? I would say no. This is of course completely inconsequential because when it comes down to it sometimes we watercoolers just don’t care so long as it looks cool!

ThinkComputers.org would like to award the XSPC Memory WaterBlock + Side Plate Set an 8 out of 10 score.
