World of Warcraft still remains as the world’s largest MMORPG, even though the game is 10 years old. Details on the game’s 4th expansion the Warlords of Draenor have been revealed. This expansion is expected to be released sometime in 2014.
This expansion will upgrade the graphics of the game by adding more detail to the character models and to the actual game world. Blizzard unfortunately has decided to use the same game engine it has been using for years. While adding more detail to the characters and the game world will make the game look better it will still lag behind current gaming standards. Below is an image of the new detail added to the Orc model for Warlords of Draenor.
When it comes to the game-play Blizzard is going back to World of Warcraft’s roots by adding heavily to the dungeon content that will allow players to easily level up. This will also add to the long raid sessions I’m sure many of you remember. Blizzard will also be adding a new raid finder engine that will scale in difficulty based on the raids group size. A new Mythic level raid difficulty will be added for users to participate in if they have 20 members.
