Final Thoughts
With prices coming down on LCD displays I really don’t see that many people purchasing this display as their main TV display, but I do see it as a multipurpose display. The ability to watch TV, play Xbox, and use it as a monitor for your computer makes this display an ideal choice for someone looking for a nice display for a small living space or dorm room. It would have been awesome to have a display like this in my dorm room when I was in college, that way after I was done writing a paper I could just flip over to my Xbox and get some gaming in.
The small size of the display also makes it easy to take with you places. LAN parties are not just about computers now, many LAN parties will have console tournaments and events. So you can take this display, do some gaming on your computer and just switch over to your Xbox when you want to play something else. This way you don’t have to worry about bringing 2 displays with you.
Besides the small backlighting problem there really is not much I can say bad about this display. If you need a multipurpose HDTV, this would be on my list for sure! Geeks.com has it for an incredible $219! Overall ThinkComputers gives the Vizio VX20L 20-inch Widescreen LCD HDTV a 9 out of 10 score!
