Testing
For testing we used two devices: an 8GB Transcend SDHC (Class 6) card and a 320GB Western Digital SATA hard drive.
To test the SDHC card all we had to do was plug in the SDHC card and then the USB port, like any other card reader. To test the hard drive we had to add some extra attachments. We first had to plug in the power adapter and attach the power converter cable which changes the 4-pin molex power to a SATA power cable. Then of course we had to connect the drive to the SATA port on the adapter.
There is also a power switch located on the power cord so that you can manually turn it on/off.
For simple testing we just used HD Tune to test the two storage devices. The results are below.
