Simply insert up to two 2.5″ or 3.5″ SATA I / II hard drives into the NexStar Dual Bay Hard Drive Dock and you are ready to transfer, copy, or backup files. Quick and easy, the Vantec NexStar Dual Bay Hard Drive Dock is the perfect solution to access your hard drives in seconds.”
The Dual Bay Hard Drive Dock is a simple and easy to use device for using up to two hard drives. Unlike external hard drive enclosures which use screws the Vantec NexStar Dual Bay Hard Drive Dock requires no screws and installs in seconds. It can be used as a permanent external drive or be used for on the fly data swapping.
The plain white design gives it a modern look. Attached to the front panel are the Vantec and NexStar logos along with a power button and HDD activity LEDs.
On the top of the device are two slots, even spaced apart which look like they will fit just a 2.5″ drive. However the plastic flap folds down, with a slight press, to reveal enough room for a 3.5″ drive.
Two buttons on the right side of both slots slide rise up once a drive is attached into the bay. A plain back panel only reveals the power, USB and eSATA connections.
The bottom of the device has four rubber pads to prevent the dock from sliding around. Some important information is also found on a sticker applied to the bottom of the dock.

Including the eSata cable is a good addon as it provides a faster transfer over usb. I think that this is definately a good product to have on your desk, as it allows you to swap in harddrives with ease.

One thing I like about drives docks is that unlike external drive enclosures, you can swap HDDs out with ease.

True, it's much more convenient, like a large USB drive, lol

Not unless your USB drive needs power brick to power it.
I guess, but you can have up to 4tb, i think i'd be worth it to bring the extra power cable along in a bag.

You didn't see my point, never mind.

how many hdds do you need? i'm sure 2 in this thing, plus one or two inside your case is more than enough, esp. since this thing can support 4tb.
You can never have too many HDDs.

how much storage do you need…
soon, proabbly won't need the power brick, as they're upping the power output on usb.

If that did happen the only problem with that is it would prolly fry older USB drives.
You dont' understand electricity. Things only draw however much power they need.

White- it's my color.. To be honest, it's just a hdd docking station without card reader/firewire port.. Not a multi-functional dock.. You can see a nice one at:

When removing the sleeve and lifting open the box shows the hard drive dock packed nicely inside. The box found next to it contains all of the extra parts and cables included with the hard drive dock.Recording-Watch

Hey, it’s Espow themselves, once again, writing fake posts just to try to send traffic to their site of cheap cheezy electronics! Hi Tom! Hi Jack!!! The Vantec is better than the paperweight Brando you sell.
