Including the eSata cable is a good addon as it provides a faster transfer over usb. I think that this is definately a good product to have on your desk, as it allows you to swap in harddrives with ease.
  • One thing I like about drives docks is that unlike external drive enclosures, you can swap HDDs out with ease.
  • lewislau
how many hdds do you need? i'm sure 2 in this thing, plus one or two inside your case is more than enough, esp. since this thing can support 4tb.
  • You can never have too many HDDs.
  • lewislau
how much storage do you need...
  • lewislau
True, it's much more convenient, like a large USB drive, lol
  • Not unless your USB drive needs power brick to power it.
  • lewislau
soon, proabbly won't need the power brick, as they're upping the power output on usb.
  • If that did happen the only problem with that is it would prolly fry older USB drives.
  • lewislau
You dont' understand electricity. Things only draw however much power they need.
  • lewislau
I guess, but you can have up to 4tb, i think i'd be worth it to bring the extra power cable along in a bag.
  • You didn't see my point, never mind.

White- it's my color.. To be honest, it's just a hdd docking station without card reader/firewire port.. Not a multi-functional dock.. You can see a nice one at:
