Une Bobine Overview & Usage
The first thing you are going to notice about the Une Bobine is that the actual cable part is made of metal, but bendable metal. This means you are actually going to be able to position the cable and your iPhone where you want it. Also having a metal cable means that your cable is not going to get cut or tear.
On one end you have a lightning connector and the connector actually has a piece that will give your iPhone more stability when you have it connected. The end connector is very heavy duty so it does not look like it will break like so many of the Apple-branded cables have in the past.
The other end of the connector is a normal USB connector, so you can either plug this into your PC / laptop or a USB charger. Again the end connector is very heavy duty so no breaking here.
Getting the Une Bobine setup is extremely easy. I opted to use my Lenovo Yoga 2 Pro as an example here. All you have to do is plug the Une Bobine into your laptop then position the cable so your iPhone will sit where you like it. Then just plug in your phone and you are good to go.
Having your iPhone like this is great. It puts it at eye level so it is extremely easy to check messages and alerts. Also having your phone at eye level means you can easily FaceTime someone without having to actually be holding your phone.
The Une Bobine will work with most iPhone cases that do have an open bottom. I had no issues when using the Seidio Surface Reveal case. Also in the photo below you can see the back part of the holder, which will give the phone more stability.
