Tt eSPORTS Shock 3D 7.1 Gaming Headset Review

Usage & Final Thoughts
I have been using the Shock 3D 7.1 Gaming Headset for about 3 weeks now so I feel I have a good grasp of how it performs compared to other headsets. First let’s talk about comfort. No matter how great a headset sounds if it isn’t comfortable you are not going to use it. With its large cushioning on the headband and earcups it is very comfortable. It is a heavier headset, which might take sometime to get used it. Also because of the larger earcups after many hours of gaming in a hot room my ears were a little sweaty. Overall though the comfort level is great and this is a headset you can wear for hours with no problem.

When it came to the sound quality of the headset it had a very full range. I not only played games, but listened to music as well. I played games like Payday 2, Far Cry 4, and GTA V. The sound was great and I was able to hear my opponents easily. Also because of the large cushioning on the earcups it blocked out a lot of outside noises. Tt eSPORTS talks about their 3D 7.1 virtualized surround sound on their website, but honestly I really could not tell much of a difference between this headset and other USB gaming headsets we have in the office. Also the fact that when you turn the 3D 7.1 off there is no effect or change at all. As a gaming headset the sound quality is great and gamers will appreciate its full range, but I’m not sure if the 3D 7.1 thing is just a gimmick.

The microphone works great. I used it in different games using in-game communication and on a few different Skype calls and everyone said I sounded just fine. I also like that the microphone auto-mutes when you flip it up.

The software that Tt eSPORTS provides will allow you to cycle through 4 different preset EQ modes, which do sound distinctly different. The other functionality of the software like turning the 3D 7.1 on or off and the environment settings don’t seem to do anything.

The Tt eSPORTS Shock 3D 7.1 Gaming Headset is a solid gaming headset that has great sound and is very comfortable. I just wish we could tell the difference between having the 3D 7.1 on or off and that the software was more powerful.

Right now you can pick up the Tt eSPORTS $79.99 online. Overall ThinkComputers gives the Tt eSPORTS Shock 3D 7.1 Gaming Headset a 7 out of 10 score.
