Lighting and Software
One really cool feature of the headset is that on each earcup there is a Tt eSPORTS Dragon logo that lights up. Even better than that it reacts to the gaming or music you are playing. It makes for a very cool effect.
When you plug the headset into your Windows machine it will work right off the bat after the drivers automatically install. If you want to be able to change the different EQ Modes and adjust other features you will need to download the Shock 3D 7.1 Software from the Tt eSPORTS website.
Note: The Tt eSPORTS software is compressed in .rar format which might be weird to some people. Also when you install the software it requires a full restart of your system.
The Shock 3D Gaming application is pretty simple and straightforward.
You have options to test and right and left earcups, the ability to turn the 7.1 3D sound on or off, and cycle through the different environment and gaming effect EQ settings.
A few things I noticed was that turning 3D 7.1 on or off really had no effect at all. Also changing the environment did nothing.
The four different gaming EQ settings did change how things sounded. I wish I would have been able to make my own EQ setting, but that was not possible with the software.
