Tt eSPORTS Cronos AD Gaming Headset Review

Final Thoughts
The Tt eSPORTS Cronos gaming headset has gone through a couple of revisions in its lifetime and I think this one definitely addresses some major issues. It does not matter how amazing a headset sounds if you cannot wear it for long periods of time it is effectively useless. The new open auto-adjusting headband works really well and while it is looser this actually makes it less irritating over long periods of time. The earcups are also the same way, they don’t lock your ears in tightly like other headsets. You can easily wear the Cronos AD for hours without any discomfort, I played through all of the new Payday DLC in one sitting and my ears as well as the top of my head were fine.

The other big change to the headset is the retractable microphone. This is compared to the larger fixed microphone that was on the original Cronos. I like this change as you have more power over where the microphone is positioned. On top of that since it is retractable it makes the headset better for use as just an audio device as you don’t have this big microphone on the side.

As far as sound goes as we said it all is going to depend on your sound card, but we were very satisfied with the sound on the Cronos AD. It does seem to have some pretty impressive bass as well so this will definitely be noticeable in games. As far as listening to straight music this really is not the headset for that. For its price range the sound is good.

Right now the Cronos AD is selling at my favorite online retailer for $59.99. Overall ThinkComputers gives the Tt eSPORTS Cronos AD Gaming Headset a 9 out of 10 score.
