When traveling with any type of electronics you want them to be protected. What good are they if you drop them and they break? This type of hard drive is usually used with a laptop so it is great that it has ample protection, actually more than ample protection.     Software is useless! To resync the Drive it overwrites the whole lot everytime, instead of only updating those files that have changed.
    If you have 3GB on the Drive, it takes 10 minutes to resync(whole rewrite). Imagine having 200 GB on it and it will take 11 hours!!! Unacceptable. Better use a Third Party Software. However a Third Party software needs to be installed on the computer and the OneTouch Backup feature of StoreJet will become obsolete as it only works with its own software.

    i have problem with my Transcend StoreJet 25 Mobile 500GB External Hard Drive. It cant be recognised on other pc, just on my main pc, it works proper, no problems at all. When i trying to connect to my other pc (witch my mane pc is windows 7, other windows 7 and vista) he cant be finde in the my computer. Usb connection shows that it was connected and it works, but it not apiers on screen where all hdd shows!! any soliution for it? please

    cause your hard drives data port is become loose, for that reason it
    cant be recognized in your computer. if you can you will replace that
    port from repair shop, then it will recognize all computer, i had same

    this have been sorted. My main pc have 64 bits win syste, and other 32 bits. When i formated my transcend storejet 25 mobile hdd i formatet to 64 bits system, thats why my all others pc;s cant read it. I did formatet it with 32 system and problem gone – all pc’s can read my hdd now – 64 and 32 systems without any problem
