TP-LINK Expands Wireless Networks With TL-WPA4220KIT

Whether you want an extra wired port, or wireless at the far end of the house, powerline adapters are handy devices. TP-LINK wants to make it easy for consumers to extend their wireless networks. Unfortunately, current range extenders don’t really do the job, so TP-LINK has released TL-WPA4220KIT. This kit consists of two powerline adapters, one is an access point and the other is a standard Powerline Adapter. The access point powerline adapter will extend your wireless network to areas that need it most.

TP-LINK promises setup will be easy. Just hook the access point powerline adapter up to your router, press the WiFi Clone Button, and the wireless settings of your router will be copied to access point powerline adapter. After the settings have been copied, put the adapter in the area you want it, and you’re good to go. Wireless speeds up to 300Mbps can be delivered by the kit. The access point powerline adapter also has two ethernet ports in case you want to connect a game console or a streaming set-top box.

TP-LINK TL-WPA4220KIT will be available Q1 2014 for $59.99.
