The laptop will include Tobii’s eye tracking technology with Synaptics touch sensitive input method to see how successful the combination can be in providing new input methods. Moreover it will give a new dimension to ultimate intuitive computer experience as well. The basic purpose of the project is to show OEM how Tobii Gaze will be able to make use of the same tech in their products. The both companies plan to do a road show in coming July and August to show the customers how exactly the partnership between Tobii Gaze and Synaptics works. This will further give Tobii a chance to use eye-tracking function into more mainstream devices.

Essentially the prototype laptop is based on a slim Ultrabook platform which gives us an ample preview of how in future Tobii Gaze will be widely used in combination with other inventive touch interfaces in various computers. According to the sources the new model will be displayed this summer in meetings with the industry leaders and strategic partners in the US.
