Thermaltake Water 2.0 Extreme CPU Cooler Review

Final Thoughts
I suppose at this point I should admit that in this case the term “Extreme” is warranted.  As gaudy as the word is, this closed loop system really is everything and the kitchen sink.  Installation was well thought out and simple.  The loop itself is of exceptional build quality.  Even the software included is admirable!  That alone is something worth taking note of for all the other manufacturers selling these types of coolers.  Tt has truly set itself apart with this one.

Here is where I typically write something about how terrible the this or that is, but in the case of the Water2.0 Extreme, I’m not going to do that.  I will say the price of the unit is $129.99 after a $15 mail in rebate.  This means that it is about triple the cost of some decently performing air coolers.  However it is right in the same neighborhood as other 240mm closed loop coolers if not a little bit more.  I do need to point out too that it is possibly hundreds less than a custom loop, and 10 times easier to install and maintain.

As a result of a truly fantastic piece of cooling hardware ThinkComputers would like to award the Thermaltake Water 2.0 Extreme with a score of 10 out of 10.
