Thermaltake Toughpower DPS G Overview
When I first took the Toughpower DPS G out of its box the first thing that I immediately noticed was that it had rounded edges and a red stripe that goes around the entire unit. This gives the unit a different look than other power supplies out there. The unit itself has the official dimensions of 150mm(W) x 86mm(H) x 180mm(L).
Another thing that really stands out is the gold grill on the cooling fan. This cooling fan is a 140 mm fan and it can actually be controlled via the DPSApp software. At the center of the grill is a silver “Tt” logo.
On each side of the unit you have stickers that will let everyone know you are rocking a Toughpower DPS G 850W unit. There is also a smaller Thermaltake logo as well.
The top of the unit has your typical sticker that has your input and output information.
The back of the unit is ventilated to help it “breathe” and you will also find your power connection and power button back here.
Moving around to the front is where you will find all of your modular connections. This power supply is 100% modular so there are no cables connected to the power supply at all. All of the connections are labeled and you notice the small USB connection towards the top, this is to connect the unit to your motherboard so it can communicate with the DPSApp software.
