Thermaltake Chaser MK-1 Full Tower Case Review

Installation
So what will we be installing in the Chaser MK-1?  Here is our list of components.

Processor: Intel Core i5-2500K
Motherboard: ASRock Z68 Extreme4
Memory: Patriot Viper Xtreme Division 2 DDR3-1866
Video: Sapphire Radeon HD 6950 2GB
Power: Thermaltake Toughpower 1200W
Storage: 750GB SATA Drive
Optical: Benq DVD Drive

The first thing you are going to want to do is install your motherboard.  The standoffs are already installed in the case so all you have to do is mount your motherboard and secure it with screws.

Our hard drive is next.  Thermaltake has made installing your hard drives extremely simple.  On each side of the removable trays is a locking insert.  Just remove them then place the hard drive in the tray.  To lock it in place just reinstall the locking inserts.  When you are done just slide the tray back in the case.

To install your optical drives just slide then in to the front of the case, you do not need to remove the front bezel of the case to do this.  When you slide them in they will automatically be locked in to place by the tool-less system.  It worked really well, if you really want to lock them in to place you can also use screws.

Let’s get the power supply installed.  It easily fits into the bottom of the case.  I took the time to route all of the cables, the cable routing holes made this very easy.

Finally I installed our video card.  The case does support longer video cards so fitting our HD 6950 X2 inside of the case was very easy.  Once we have everything connected you can see that there is quite a lot of room inside of the case.
