The First Photos of the Radeon R9 295X2 Emerge

Well it did not take long for someone to open their briefcase from AMD and take a few shots of the Radeon R9 295X2. The leaked photos come from our friends over at Chiphell and from the looks of things the Radeon R9 295X2 looks rather boring if you ask me.

So there it is in all its glory the R9 295X2. The card is not red and black like other reference models in AMD’s R200 series, instead AMD has gone with a silver and black design with a red fan in the center. The shroud itself is made of plastic and metal, but as I said it really is nothing great to look at.

The card does come with a hybrid cooling solution much like we saw on ASUS’s ARES II card. The pump and radiator do seem to be a bit smaller though and we are unsure if there are even two fans on the pump as the photos only show one side.

The card is powered by only two 8pin power connectors, which might mean that AMD has optimized the card for dual-GPU configuration, or worse that AMD has dramatically reduced the clock speeds. The card does come with a metal blackplate which you can see in the photo below.

From the backplate we can see that the card will have four mini-DisplayPort and one DVI-D output.

As always we will keep you updated as it gets closer to the Radeon R9 295X2 launch.
