Today you see more and more home media servers and HTPC’s being sold on the market, along with the parts to build your own. I use a home media server for my PS3 and my other computers so that I can transfer and watch movies all over my house. This also gives me the ability to stream music to all of the PC’s and other wireless Devices. With all of our home electronics becoming more and more connected it’s convenient to have a media server. It allows me to control the music and movies in any of the rooms with PC’s on them with either my Android phone or my iPad. The possibilities are endless. In this review we will be taking a look at the Zotac IONITX-P-E which is an Mini-ITX motherboard with the processor embedded in to the motherboard. Mini-ITX is a very small form factor about half the size of a mATX setup.
Our friends over at Futurelooks had a great party on Wednesday night at Palms Place. Not only was it a party, but a product showcase for many of the companies that co-hosted the event. I really like these types of events because you really get one on one face time with companies and it is in a more relaxed environment. We were able to talk with Kingston, Zalman and Zotac so let’s see what they have in store for 2011.
