The MSI X99S XPOWER AC, one of MSI’s new Intel X99 based OC motherboards, just obliterated the Cinebench R15 world record for the Intel Core i7 5960X processor by scoring a staggering 2314 points while all 8 cores were running at an amazing 5931.02 MHz clock speed, which is almost 200 MHz higher than any other X99 motherboard currently on the market.
Not that long ago MSI released BIOS updates for their X79 motherboards to support Intel’s latest Ivy Bridge-E processors. Since that time 7 CPU-based word records have been broken by overclockers using MSI X79 motherboards.
Five overclocking world records were broken by the ASUS Republic of Gamers (ROG) Rampage IV Black Edition. ASUS, the leading multinational of computer hardware and other electronics, hosted an event in San Francisco along with Corsair and Intel where the Rampage IV black Edition was paired with other high end components and was given the highest scores in five different areas.
