Lenovo was showing a very cool and powerful business tablet at CES. The ThinkPad 8 is Lenovo’s first 8-inch business tablet and comes loaded with Windows 8.1 and Microsoft Office. Given its form factor, screen size and features this seems to be a best in class tablet in the 8-inch size.
Now that CES is just around the corner, we are being flooded with many interesting releases. Now LG is looking forward to unveiling a few new devices which will be running on Windows 8. Some of these will include the Tab-Book 2 line which has a QWERTY keyboard veiled under the 11.6-inch screen, 13Z940 “ultra PC” laptop and a new 27-inch all-in-one.
There will be two different versions of Windows, the consumer edition and the business edition, and they will have separate launch dates now and this piece of information has come from a reliable source from within the company.
According to Dell, the Xbox One will be able to run Windows 8 apps which will be able to sync among all Windows 8 devices, isn’t that an interesting news? Xbox One product page has claimed the news basically also adding up that this will give users a unique experience. If the information turns out to be accurate, it will mean that PC will make itself a place in the living room courtesy Xbox One.
Acer has added yet another product offering tot its vast range of existing product portfolio with its launch of the latest PC, Aspire ZC-605 All-in-One. This new PC which has been equipped with the Windows 8 operating systems comes with LED backlit feature and a 19.5 inch display. It comes with the 1.9 GHz Pentium 2127U dual core processor with 4 GB of RAM and it all doesn’t end here; the PC comes with a hard drive of 1 TB and a Super Multi optical drive.
Sharp Corporation, a Japanese based manufacturer of electronics, surprises the world at the CEATEC show in Japan with the introduction of its Mebius Pad; Sharp’s very own Windows 8 tablet. Sharp has kicked off with its extraordinary performance with this newest tablet and the Mebius Pad surely breaks through the clutter with its resolution display of 2,560 x 1,600. This is quite dominant in the pool of other Windows 8 tablets as they all have max resolution of 1080p.
The Windows Start Button was first featured in Microsoft’s release of Windows 95 and continued to be in Microsoft’s popular operating system until Windows 8 was released. This upset many people so in the first major update to Windows 8 Microsoft is bringing back the Start Button.
Getting news about newer releases and reviews of new laptops is getting quite mainstream and LG wasn’t the one to stay behind. LG Korea finally decided to join the bandwagon and has introduced its two new Ultrabooks and a tablet equipped with Windows 8. The highlights of these new releases were the Ultrabooks which were only introduced in the Korean region and hence nobody knows for sure when the details and specifications will unveil in the United States and other parts of the world.
The Transformer Book Trio, based on the two world famous operating systems of Windows and Android, has finally been announced by ASUS and is expected to enter the markets soon enough. The machine providing super portability can be used as a tablet and a laptop at the same time by more than one person. This has been made possible with the two part dock-able design which brings together the portable tablet and the laptop. The dock of the Transformer book trio can be used as a normal PC station once a monitor has been attached to its head while the other part can be used as a tablet.
Earlier we experienced PC’s running Windows 8 were having trouble handling RTC (real clock time), bechmarking website HWBOT banned the entire submissions from Windows 8 OS. Later we got to know that PC’s having Intel processors were the worst affected, while the AMD ones were less affected. The bug was intelligently fixed by an overclocker Christian Ney from Ocaholic who determined the actual root cause to it.
