Here is a word that we are almost inundated with these days. It seems that everyone is so desperate to prove themselves unique they grasp at, and identify with, terms such as this. In the end, it just makes all such products blend together into a group identified with overly emphasised phrases and words. And so it is with utter disdain for this products name that we present to you a 240mm closed loop liquid cooler brought to us by Thermaltake (Tt), the Water 2.0 Extreme. Read on to see if this “Extreme” truly is “of a character or kind farthest removed from the ordinary or average” or just an average cooling product to be avoided.
This year was the first year that Swiftech was at CES and they did so to really promote and tell people about their brand new H220 all-in-one liquid cooling system. The upcoming EK-FB ASUS C5F-Z for ASUS Crosshair V Formula-Z motherboard will be a single piece Full-Board water block which will directly cool AMD 990FX northbridge and the power regulation (VRM / MOSFETs) module. Due to the budget nature of this water block the AMD SB950 southbridge will remain cooled using ASUS factory provided heatsink . This water cooling solution will require two G1/4 threaded fittings and will sport a high flow design therefore posing a minimal flow restriction to the water cooling circuit.

EK-BAY DCP 2.2 Combo Reservoir is a compact, easy to use water pump/reservoir combo unit. Reservoir is made of quality POM Acetal, covered by a 5mm thick acrylic glass. The reservoir has build in port for installation of EK-DCP 2.2 water pump, the mounting mechanism is included. Reservoir features G3/8 threaded filling port, an appropriate plug is enclosed. This reservoir also features anti-vibration rubber mounting system which effectively silents your computer. Reservoir fits in majority of computer chassis and occupies two 5.25″ drive bay slots. No boring or sawing is necessary. This reservoir is fully air- and waterproof once closed with the enclosed plugs therefore no water can evaporate.
