Thermaltake is going to moving into the custom water cooling space with their Pacific Line of water cooling kits and accessories. We know Thermaltake for their line of all-in-one CPU coolers, but they want to take things to the next level with the Pacific series. The first major product to come out of the Pacific Series will be the RL240 water cooling kit.
Certainly one of the most interesting aspects of this time of year is the inevitable posting of lists! All the listing and ordering of events, items, and achievements must bring the writer a sense of closure and completeness, but really who cares we just love reading these lists! Not wanting to leave you feeling short handed, ThinkComputers is excited to bring you our own twist on the yearly list. It was just a few years ago that the all in one liquid cooling solution really hit the market, but in that short time the AIO has now become a must have for the serious computer enthusiast. This past year ThinkComputers has reviewed many of them for you, some good, some not so great. Bringing the year to a close, we would like to present to you 2014’s best AIO coolers as reviewed by ThinkComputers. As it turns out there are exactly 3 AIO’s that earned a 10/10 score in 2014. While all three are exceptional coolers, there can only be one champion.
Galax is very well known for their Hall of Fame series graphics cards. These cards represent the top of the line graphics from Galax are some of the fastest cards available. For the GTX 980 HOF WC Galax has teamed with Diamond Cooling to come up with a truly impressive card. You have the typical white PCB from Galax and Diamond Cooling has come up with an ice white block for the card.
EK Water Blocks has just introduced a new full-cover water block that is designed specifically for MSI’s Gaming 4G Series NVIDIA GeForce GTX 970 graphics cards. The full-cover water block is being called the EK-FC970 GTX TF5.
Gigabyte has just announced the GeForce GTX 980 WaterForce Tri-SLI (GV-N980X3WA-4GB). This is probably the most powerful graphics card set to ever come out of a single box. This monstrosity is made up of three GeForce GTX 980 graphics cards, with a factory-fitted liquid cooling loop that sits outside of your case.
EK Water Blocks has just released their full-cover waterblock for the reference AMD Radeon R9 285 series graphics card. The EK-FC R9-285 is a high-performance Full-Cover water block which directly cools the GPU, RAM as well as VRM (voltage regulation module) as water flows directly over these critical areas thus allowing the graphics card and it’s VRM to remain stable under high overclocks.
Aqua Computer has added the Kryographics GTX 980 full cover water block to its portfolio. The block is CNC-milled from a 10mm thick high-purity electrolytic copper block while the GPU is covered by a micro structure with a 0.5mm grid. The kryographics for GTX 980 covers the GPU, RAM and other than some of the competitors also all relevant parts of the voltage control.
Raijintek who we mainly know for cases and air CPU coolers have just entered the AiO watercooling market with their Triton AiO CPU Cooler. Raijintek says the Triton comes after several years of development and that they have completed the concept of the best performing all-in-one CPU cooler for enthusiasts.
If there is any line of products that I would say we here at ThinkComputers.org are most familiar with it would have to be Thermaltake AIO coolers. Over the past couple years we have reviewed nearly their entire line of products. Overall we have found them to be adequate to top level performers. And while their arsenal of self contained water coolers is formidable they have seemed to lack a stand out champion. You know a hands down performance winner across the board. And so I was certainly intrigued when we got our hands on Tt’s newest AIO entry, the Water 3.0 Ultimate. This triple 120 rad AIO is one of the first on the market and the largest AIO we have reviewed at TC. So does size matter? Follow along and find out if this can finally be Thermaltake’s all out performance champ.
