As we pointed out last week NVIDIA is planning on releasing their GeForce GTX 750 Ti February. What it interesting about this launch is that this will be the first card based on the “Maxwell” GPU micro-architecture. It looks like the first performance benchmarks have been leaked by Coolaler.com.
According to reports NVIDIA is planning to launch their GeForce GTX 750 Ti in February. While that is great news the really interesting thing about this report is that the card will be based on the Kepler architecture, but rather NVIDIA’s latest Maxwell GPU architecture.
Here we are back with another graphics card review. Today we are taking a look at ASUS’s R9 270X DirectCU II Top Graphics Card. AMD’s R9 270X cards are of course based off the same 28nm Pitcairn GPU that we saw in the Radeon HD 7870 GHz Edition graphics card. As the name of this card indicates it will feature’s ASUS’s own DirectCU II cooling solution, which should offer better thermals than AMD’s stock cooler while also producing less noise. This is also a TOP edition card so it is factory overclocked with the core clock being bumped up from 1050 MHz to 1120 MHz. Razer always has something innovative and flashy to show off at CES, this year is no different. Project Christine is Razer’s take on a desktop computer. Currently building a computer requires a ton of pieces, and some technical know-how. Razer’s vision is that anyone should be able to easily build a computer, it should be super fast with the possibility of being faster, and everything should be water cooled.
About a month ago we talked about AMD working on a dual GPU graphics solution based on their “Hawaii” architecture. Proof of this was in AMD’s driver package, but this card may never make it to market. On the other side NVIDIA is said to be working on a new dual GPU solution of their own, the GeForce GTX 790.
PowerColor has been a leading name in the list of AMD manufacturers and they just recently previewed their Radeon R9 290X PCS+ which is going to be launched soon. This card includes triple fan cooling solution which will protect from heat and cool the AMD’s flagship Hawaii chip. We should be expecting the non reference models of the Radeon R9 290X by next week and it is most likely that they will generate better cooling and overclocking performance.
ASUS has recently made an announcement for its Radeon R9 290X DirectCU II series of graphic cards, and this series will incorporate a model that is going to stick to the AMD-reference clocks (which can go up to a 1000 MHz core, 5.00 GHz memory). Another model will also form part of this series and it is the one that offers factory overclocked speeds of up to 1050 MHz core, and 5.40 GHz memory and this one is the DirectCU II OC.
