Intel: Low-Power Processors to Fuel Future of Mobile Computing Innovation

Intel Corporation’s chief product officer today described how its low-power processors, starting with the company’s 4th generation Intel® Core™ processor family available next year, will set a new standard for mobile computing experiences and innovative Ultrabook™, convertible and tablet designs.

Speaking at the Intel Developer Forum in San Francisco, David (Dadi) Perlmutter said Intel reduced the platform idle power of its 4th generation Intel Core processor family based on the next-generation “Haswell” microarchitecture by more than 20 times over the 2nd generation while delivering outstanding performance and responsiveness. He also said Intel will add a new line of even lower-power processors based on the same microarchitecture to its roadmap starting in 2013.

Le Pan II TC979 Android Tablet Review

Le Pan is a name you may not know but you really should.  We have received so much feedback on our review of the original Le Pan TC970 tablet and our unboxing video is one of our most viewed videos on our YouTube page.  The Le Pan tablets are really powerful and great tablets.  There are so many Android tablets out there it is really hard to decide which one to get, especially with all of these larger brands shoving their overpriced and underpowered tablets down your throat.  The Le Pan II is much improved over the original Le Pan tablet with a faster processor, more memory and it runs Android 3.2 with a free upgrade to 4.0 when it becomes available.  Let’s take a look at see what the TC979 is all about.

Unboxing the Amazon Kindle Touch

If you read a lot of books then you definitely should have a Kindle. With a Kindle you can store and access many books at a time, which is much more convenient than having an entire bookshelf of books. Today we are taking a look at the Kindle Touch. This is Amazon’s $99 kindle that features an E-ink display, supports text-to-speech, audiobooks and MP3′s and can hold up to 3,000 books. Read on to check out our unboxing and overview video. Unboxing the Le Pan II TC979 Tablet

Today we have a really cool unboxing video for you! We are taking a look a the Le Pan II TC979 Tablet. A little while ago we reviewed the TC970 from Le Pan and now we have their new version of the tablet. This new tablet has the same form factor and design but features a 1.2GHz dual-core processor, 1GB of memory, 9.7-inch screen, 8GB of storage, 2-MegaPixel camera, WiFi, Bluetooth and GPS. CES 2012: Samsung

This year at CES we decided to venture into the Samsung booth, which was one of the busiest booths at CES. We were able to take a look at the new Galaxy Note, which is a mix between a phone and a tablet. It features a very thin design, 5.3-inch HD Super AMOLED screen and a 1.4GHz dual core processor. Samsung was also showing off the new Galaxy Tab 7.7 tablet. It is the worlds first tablet to feature the Samsung’s Super AMOLED Plus display technology. Finally we were able to check out Samsung’s SSD 830 solid state drives.

CES 2012: Sony Tablets

Our focus this year for the Sony booth was the Japanese electronics giant’s new line of Android tablets. The Tablet S is a 9.7″ tablet with a unique wedged edge developed as the result of rigorous user testing and feedback. The wedge helps the user better balance the unit by shifting weight to one had without increasing the overall weight of the device. The Tablet P is Sony’s newest design, a clamshell tablet with dual screens. For both, Sony used screen designs from its line of televisions in order to deliver the highest quality viewing experience. Tablets have really made a push this year and they are no longer novelty devices. They can be serious productivity machines and gaming machines. Velocity Micro Cruz T301 7-inch Android Tablet Review
