A handful of slides have been leaked giving us quite a lot of information about Intel’s upcoming solid state drive solutions for 2014. In the second quarter of 2014 we will see the introduction of three storage solutions from Intel, the SSD Pro 2500 series (codename Temple Star), SSD DC P3500 Series (Pleasantdale), and the SSD DC P3700 Series (Fultondale).
With the products they showed at Digital Experience, Buffalo is further diversifying its product lineup by delving deeper into the storage sector. They displayed a set of external SSDs connected via Thunderbolt, including a professional-level dual drive unit configured in RAID 0. They also showed a HDD with a DDR3 RAM cache for near SSD performance at a very affordable price. Buffalo also showed a series of Linkstation NASes that use a central relay system for Buffalo Link, a way to access files remotely from any computer or mobile device.
