MSI’s upcoming R9 290X Lightning was been previewed by the guys over at Overclock3D. The R9 290X Lightning will be MSI’s latest “Lightning” card featuring the AMD “Hawaii” GPU along with MSI’s TriFrozr cooling solution and Military IV Class Components.
Gigabyte has an upcoming Radeon R9 290X OC Edition graphics card. This card will feature Gigabyte’s own high performance WindForce 3X cooler. Many people have been waiting for custom R9 290X cards as the reference designed card run extremely hot and have noise issues. There have been rumors that we might not see these custom cards till 2014.
The company has released the Radeon R9 290X Water Block which is a full cover water block and has exclusively been designed for the Radeon R9 290X which is AMD’s very own flagship card. This water block has been codenamed as the VID-AR290X and has been fashioned out of solid copper which also features the nickel-plating which ensures that extra protection is being given.
We have learned from a few different sources that custom models of AMD’s R9 290X graphics card will not be coming till late November. So if you were waiting it looks like you have another month to go. Manufacturers usually need four to six weeks to deliver custom cards to the market. So many of your favorite custom models will not be here till almost December.
