We have always known Noctua for great CPU coolers, they are always on the top of my list when anyone suggests an air CPU cooler. Well they have just released their new flagship CPU cooler the NH-D15, which is a dual tower cooler.
When people ask me what is a good air CPU cooler Noctua is always a name that comes to mind. They are known for their great cooling solutions, both big and small. When it comes to air coolers one of the biggest problems is compatibility. Many performance and high-end memory modules are large heatspreaders and they can get in the way. Noctua of course knows this and has made an effort to come out with CPU coolers that will be compatible in all situations. The NH-U14S is one such cooler. It is designed with a 52mm thin heatsink stack that allows for full RAM compatibility on socket 2011 as well as other platforms. Normally we see these massive heatsinks from Noctua so will the NH-U14S still be able to perform up to the standards we know Noctua for? Read on as we find out!
When I think of Noctua I am reminded of their very large and powerful CPU coolers. These cooler have rivaled even some liquid cooling systems. Noctua knows cooling but these larger CPU coolers do not fit in all systems. That is why they have come up with the NH-U12S and NH-U14S which are guaranteed to fit in your system even if you have memory with larger heatspreaders. Today we are taking a look at Noctua’s NH-U12S. This cooler features a tower design with aluminum fins and a copper base and heatpipes. There is a single 120 mm Noctua NF-F12 PWM fan and the cooler uses Noctua’s SecurFirm2 mounting system for easy installation. Will this smaller cooler still provide the excellent cooling that we know Noctua for? Read on as we find out.
Last year Noctua released their NH-L9 series low profile CPU coolers. They were extremely small (37mm) and offered some pretty good cooling as well. Noctua is back with a new low profile cooler that they were showing at Computex. This cooler is just a little bit bigger at 65mm high, but still will fit in compact systems pretty easily.
So you’re putting together your all out custom build. You’ve got the best processor, motherboard, memory, GPU, and case you can buy. Now is the time you’re going to have to start thinking about fans and cooling. Whether it be air or water, you will need fans. This is often forgotten till the end, and this item is crucial to bringing all those bits together and helping them to perform to their fullest. While there are many options when it comes to choosing fans, it is very important to be selective in order to get the right fan for your configuration as well as a good quality fan. Today we are going to be taking a look at a broad selection of 9 fans from one of the most lauded fan manufacturers, Noctua.
Noctua has announces two new coolers in their award winning NH-U series of CPU coolers. The NH-U12S and NH-U14S are tower coolers and are made to be quiet. They feature a slim layout which is made to provide maximum RAM compatibility. Like most Noctua coolers they use the SecuFirm2 multi-socket mounting system and come with Noctua’s HT-H1 thermal compound.
Noctua today presented the new, third generation of its signature S12 series quiet case fans, which have received more than 250 awards and recommendations from the international press. Featuring a further refined blade design with Anti-Stall Knobs that works in tandem with the new AAO (Advanced Acoustic Optimisation) frame, the NF-S12A improves the airflow/noise efficiency of its renowned predecessor by up to 8%.
Noctua has been one of the top picks when it comes to air coolers. Their over-sized air coolers provide great cooling and are actually pretty easy to install as well. A little while ago we took a look at their NH-L12 CPU Cooler, which was a smaller low-profile cooler. I really did not think I would see a smaller cooler than that from Noctua, but they recently released the NH-L9i which is only 37mm high and should be the perfect fit for your small form factor system. Did I mention this cooler will not get in the way of any of your memory and it installs with only 4 screws! Read on as we take a look!
Noctua today introduced its new NF-A14 FLX, NF-A14 ULN and NF-A15 PWM 140mm fans that complement the recently announced A-series of premium quality quiet fans. Like the previously presented NF-A4x10, NF-A6x25 and NF-A9x14, the new 140mm models feature Noctua’s novel AAO frames as well as the series’ signature Flow Acceleration Channels for reduced boundary layer separation and improved aerodynamic efficiency. Reference class SSO2 bearing and 6 years manufacturer’s warranty make the NF-A15 and NF-A14 a stand-out choice for all noise-sensitive 140mm applications.
Noctua today presented its new NH-L9i and NH-L9a low profile CPU coolers for Intel and AMD. At a super-low profile of only 37mm, the NH-L9 coolers are ideal for extremely slim cases and with footprints tailored to the respective socket keep-out zones, they provide full compatibility with tall RAM modules and VGA cards on mini-ITX mainboards. Topped off with the new NF-A9x14 PWM premium fan, the NH-L9 coolers fuse everything users have come to expect from Noctua’s larger coolers into a super-compact package for slim HTPC systems.
