Last month we showed you a photo one of Intel’s upcoming flagship DZ87KLT-75K which was being show at IDF Beijing. As we said in that post Intel is getting out of the motherboard business, so with Intel’s upcoming release of the 4th Generation Core “Haswell” processors this could be the last time we see Intel motherboards. VR-Zone has dug up the information on 4 of Intel’s motherboards that will launch alongside the processors.
Gigabyte showed quite a few Z87 motherboards at CeBIT already and now it is ASRock’s turn. ASRock is showing two Haswell-ready LGA 1150 motherboards at CeBIT. The first is based off the Z87 chipset and is the Z87-Extreme6. The second is based off the B85 chipset and is simply called B85M.
At a private meeting held during CeBIT Gigabyte disclosed their upcoming Z87 motherboards. The motherboards start off the the flagship board which is the Z87X-OC, followed by the Z87X-UD5H, Z87X-UD3H and finally the Z87X-D3H. Like most of the socket LGA1150 motherboards being shown this week these boards are still under development. Gigabyte has still yet to finalize the the heatsinks and other features on some of the boards.
ASUS today announced a new range of microATX motherboards with onboard HDMI and DVI ports for Intel and AMD processors with integrated graphics, and USB 3.0 ports with performance-enhancing ASUS USB 3.0 Boost technology. By removing the need for a discrete graphics card, the new motherboards provide a more affordable option for home entertainment PCs that can fully exploit high-performance USB 3.0 storage. The latest Intel 22nm CPUs feature Intel HD 4000 integrated graphics, while AMD Socket FM2Athlon and A-Series APUshave integrated AMD HD 7000 Series discrete-level Radeon GPUs.The processors provide excellent 2D and 3D graphics performance, without the need for a separate graphics card, which in turn results in lower PC build costs.

Gigabyte invited us up to their suite at CES to check out some of their latest motherboards. We first took a look at the Z77X-UP5 TH. This motherboard offers dual Thunderbolt ports which allows output to a 4K display. Gigabyte is currently the only motherboard manufacturer offering dual Thunderbolt ports on their motherboards. Gigabyte is ready for Intel’s new all-in-one standard with their B75-TN and H77-TN. These boards are perfect for building that perfect small form factor system. Finally we took a look at some of Gigabyte’s value segment boards.
Today we spent a good amount of time up in MSI’s suite at CES. While they may not have had a whole lot of new products they had their best products on display and gave us a very informative overview of each product. Not only that we did get to see a prototype of a new X79 motherboard that is part of MSI’s new gaming line of boards. If you follow MSI I’m sure you know of their Twin Frozr graphics cards. Not much is really known about Intel’s upcoming Haswell Z87 chipset, only that it is in development. Today we get quite a lot of information! German website Computer Base has released Intel Confidential slides that show Intel’s desktop board release dates for Z87, H87 and Q87 chipsets.
