ASRock has just unveiled its first socket FM2+ motherboards which are ready for AMD’s upcoming A-Series “Kaveri” APUs. These motherboards are also backwards compatible with the A-Series “Richland” and “Trinity” APUs. The most notable FM2+ boards from ASRock are the FM2A88X-Extreme6+ and the FM288M-Extreme4+.
Gigabyte is launching their H81 Motherboards, entry level for Haswell. These motherboards bring in together unique blend of features to offer maximum performance and reliability. Starting from advanced networking and device charging feature, current capable power delivery, exclusive high-end audio features, performance-enhancing caching technologies, GIGABYTE 8 series motherboards are considered to be a class of their own.
ASUS has just announced their entire series of H81 chipset Haswell motherboards. The lineup includes six boards: H81M-Plus, H81M-A, H81M-C and H81M-E Micro-ATX motherboards, and the H81I-Plus Mini-ITX (from left to right in the photo below). All of these models feature a single PCI-Express x16 slot, two DDR3 DIMM slots, and two SATA III slots along with ASUS’s latest UEFI BIOS, Realtek 7.1 audio and USB 3.0.
With the upcoming APUs on the way many motherboard manufacturers are launching their A88X chipset based FM2+ motherboards. Gigabyte announced its new FM2+ motherboard lineup supporting the forthcoming ‘Keveri’ AMD APUs with support for existing socket FM2 Trinity and Richland APUs.
ASUS is considered to be the world’s first producer to expose their FM2+ motherboards lineup for the next generation of Kaveri APUs. The new FM2+ motherboards from ASUS include the A88XM-A and A55BM-A motherboards which include the FM2+ socket to support AMD’s current and soon to come generation of APUs.
ASUS’s TUF Series of motherboards offer their Thermal Armor on both the front and back of the board. At Computex they were showing off some really cool artist-designed TUF series boards where the artists made up their own designs for the Thermal Armor. They are pretty awesome and definitely brought some attention at ASUS’s booth.
ECS’s LGA1150 motherboard launch was sort of boring last week, but there was a reason for that. They wanted to save their best motherboards for Computex and they have as they unveiled their flagship Z87H3-AH and Z87H3-AH Golden “Gank Machine” motherboards. The golden board of course has gold accents all around. The normal board has red and silver accents which make for a good looking board as well. Besides the different color schemes these board are identical.
The Mini-ITX form factor has been extremely popular lately since it is so compact, but still offers great features. MSI has introduced three new LGA1150 Haswell mini-ITX motherboards that are basically the same, but they will be running on different chipsets. These motherboards include the Z87I, B85I and the H87I.
We have detailed many of Gigabyte’s upcoming Haswell motherboards. These have included the G1.Sniper 5 and G1.Sniper M5, Z87X-OC and the Z87X-UD4H. Those were the more high-end motherboards, but what about the value boards? Today we are detailing Gigabyte’s sub-$150 boards based on the Z87 Express and B85 Express chipsets. The boards we will be looking at are the Z87-UD3H, Z87-D3HP and the B85M-D3H.
ASUS’s TUF (The Ultimate Force) motherboards are known for their unique cooling technologies like the TUF Thermal Armor and the TUF Thermal radar. ASUS’s upcoming Z87 TUF series of motherboards will be comprised of two models the Z87 Sabertooth and the Z87 Gryphon. Read on as we have all of the details on these two new boards.
